15 Hours a Month to Run a Peer Advisory Group (Here's the Math)
Coaches tell us this one a lot. "15 hours a month? I don't know if I have that kind of bandwidth."
Sometimes that's true. 99% of the time, once we dig into the calendar together, it isn't.
Say the number out loud. 15 hours a month. One group session, one-on-one meetings with your members, and you're at roughly 4 hours a week.
Now compare that to how most coaches operate today. 20 separate clients. 20 different schedules, 20 different invoices, 20 different renewals, 20 relationships all moving at different speeds. And most of those hours aren't even coaching. They're chasing people, rescheduling meetings, hunting for the referral that replaces the client who left.
Our model is 10 members at roughly $2,000 a month, if that's what you want to charge. I've got coaches who charge more. That's $20K a month minimum for 4 hours of work a week. The hard part is filling the seats, and that's the part we handle.
So go look at what 4 hours a week is earning you right now in the money-making side of your business. Then compare.
The other version of this objection is the project one. "I've got this thing coming up, and then this other thing after that." Here's my coaching two cents: there's never a perfect time to add something new to your business. Something else always pops up. If you can get this running now, while you're busy, it keeps running when the next busy season shows up. Waiting for a quiet month means waiting forever.
15 hours a month. That's the whole ask.
